Tampa, FL (April 24, 2024) – Baldwin Krystyn Sherman Partners, LLC (“BKS Partners”), an indirect subsidiary of BRP Group, Inc. (“BRP Group”) (NASDAQ: BRP), an insurance brokerage and risk management firm headquartered in Tampa, FL, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Montoya to Partner.
Matt entered the insurance industry in 2013, starting his career at a South Florida firm. A year later, he relocated to his hometown, Jacksonville, Florida, to join a local agency in Jacksonville Beach. His career took a significant turn when he began working with his father, Will Montoya, at Montoya and Associates. During his tenure, Matt was instrumental in launching the CRMG division of the company. In 2018, Montoya and Associates partnered with BKS Partners, marking a pivotal phase in his career. During this transition, Matt found his passion for helping businesses navigate complex risk needs, specifically in commercial real estate and construction.
Matt works closely with several key community organizations, including the Downs Syndrome Association of Jacksonville, Special Olympics of North Florida, Horseplay, One More Child, and Hope’s Closet. Additionally, he serves on the Board, is a Core Team member at Gather Church, and has held the position of Past Chair for Beaches Rotaract. Outside of his professional and philanthropic endeavors, Matt cherishes spending quality time with his family, traveling, staying active, enjoying sports, and hunting.
