At BKS, we know benefits.
Providing high-level benefits offerings is what we do for our clients, so naturally we do the same for our colleagues. We know that when colleagues feel valued and supported by their employer, they are more productive, engaged and energized. In addition to taking care of you and your family, our benefits are designed to keep you healthy, happy and provide peace of mind and financial security. Not only do we deliver the benefits you’d expect from a large company, we offer a slew of unique perks to give you peace of mind and benefits you will want to brag about.
You have your choice of three different medical plans. Each of our plans is designed to meet the unique needs of our colleagues and their families. Colleagues who enroll in one of the HDHP plans can also take advantage of saving for their out-of-pocket expenses on a pretax basis by opening a health savings account (HSA) with no minimum balance and no monthly fees.
Smile! Routine cleanings are covered at 100% in-network once every six months. You have a $1,500 calendar year maximum for each covered person under the plan for all covered services.
Vision is also offered with $10 eye exams and $25 copays for lenses/frames for services from an in-network provider. Contacts are available in lieu of glasses and discounts for Lasik are also available.
Feel sick? Talk to a doctor and get back to it. Colleagues, their spouse and children are automatically enrolled in our plan that allows you to have a telephonic appointment with a doctor and even be prescribed medicine, if appropriate, for all the little ailments that slow us down. It is efficient and free.
Life & Voluntary Life
Basic Life All full-time colleagues are provided a life and accidental death and dismemberment benefit of $50,000. This benefit is 100% paid by BKS-Partners.
Voluntary Life Colleagues have the opportunity to purchase additional life insurance for themselves and their family. Colleagues can elect up to 5x their salary (up to $500,000) of additional life insurance.
Colleagues have the unique opportunity to participate in a discounted program for personal umbrella coverage needs. The program is offered through Chubb and includes higher limits of personal liability protection not readily available in the marketplace.
BKS-Partners believes in the importance of insuring your paycheck and provides BOTH short-term and long-term disability insurance to all full-time colleagues. These benefits are 100% paid by BKS-Partners.
BKS-Partners offers a 401(k) retirement plan that gives colleagues the option of making pre-tax 401(k) deferrals, posttax 401(k) deferrals or a combination of both. BKS-Partners provides a $.50 match up to the first 4% of a colleague’s pay and colleagues are automatically enrolled.
All colleagues have access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The plan is 100% paid by BKS-Partners and includes three face-to-face sessions per issue and unlimited telephonic support for issues related to your mental health, abuse/addictions, enhancing your emotional health and dealing with trauma.
Rest assured that you’re covered when traveling on behalf of BKS-Partners. This policy provides medical assistance 24 hours a day in addition to worker’s compensation coverage.
Protect your identity through ID Watchdog and have the peace of mind knowing they are monitoring your credit activity, credit scores and will be there if someone decides to try to be you.
Focus on your health, not your wallet. This benefit pays you cash if you are diagnosed with a serious medical condition.
Accidents happen all the time—so do the out of pocket costs that may accompany a resulting injury. This policy pays you cash to lessen the financial impact of an injury to you and your dependents.
Take a couple of extra weeks off on us. This benefit providers a BKS New Mom or New Dad 50% of weekly pay up to $2,000/week for two weeks to care for a new child as a result of birth or adoption (other than for the adoption of a step child). No excuse not to be there for the 3 a.m. feeding.
Family is #1. Choosing to adopt a child represents a large financial commitment and BKS-Partners is here to help. BKSPartners will reimburse expenses up to $5,000 per adoption, give your new child lots of hugs and probably annoy you by asking for lots of pictures.
PTO and Community Service PTO
In addition to 9.5 paid holidays per year, all full-time colleagues have 15 days of PTO during their first year of employment. The amount of PTO increases on milestone anniversaries up to 5 weeks. BKS-Partners offers a unique benefit called Community Service PTO so our colleagues can support the charities and service organizations they are passionate about (even during business hours). We provide philanthropic support as well as three community service days as paid time off.

It’s friendly in-office competitions and challenges like these that never let us forget the importance and restorative nature of some good ol’ fashioned fun.
Top down communication? We don’t think so. The BKS partners have an open door policy, send weekly email updates and host monthly town hall updates and quarterly all-firm meetings. The partners know that the only way to improve is to get open, honest feedback from our colleagues. No suggestion or idea is too grandiose or too small.
Many of our positions give colleagues in good standing the opportunity to work from home one or more days per week. No one will ever know you spent the whole day in your pajamas!
We live it. We offer a variety of BKS Vitality™ seminars and workshops on topics ranging from stress management to budgeting. Plus, our director of wellness engineering is available to confidentially coach individuals seeking to achieve personal wellness goals. When you participate in the program on a regular basis, you get a premium holiday on your medical coverage and you improve your overall wellbeing.
