Risk Management Tip

Don’t Overlook Tire Rotation

One of the easiest maintenance tasks you can perform on your automobile is tire rotation, which is simply moving the tires to different locations around the car so they wear evenly. Tire rotations can extend the life of your tires, improve your gas mileage and ensure that your vehicle handles and performs steadily and safely. To properly care for your tires, most vehicle manufacturers recommend getting a rotation every 6,000 to 8,000 miles. Check your vehicle owner’s manual for specific recommendations on rotation timelines and patterns. In addition, you should replace your tires when the tread wears down to 1/16 of an inch.
